Jim Summers was a homicide detective for the Dallas Police Department until his wife was killed in a botched-up bank robbery. To escape the tragedy of his wife's murder and to get away from the city's high crime, he decided to move to Eaglerock with his daughter, Val. Jim chose Eaglerock because his sister and her family lived there and it was a small town with a small crime rate. Jim arrived just in time to acquire the job as town sheriff. Jim loved the small-town life, and he came to be a trusted man in Eaglerock. Life was perfect in the small town, slow and crime free. Then the killings started. It became a race against the clock. Jim had to find out who or what was killing his friends before the next full moon.
